Boating Skills And Seamanship Course is required In New Jersey for Everyone!

"About Boating Safely," is furnished by The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.

There are approximately 8 hours of classroom instruction required, including the test,
to qualify for the New Jersey State Boating Certificate.

2020 Class Schedule:

USCG Station 61 Inlet Dr Pt Pleasant Beach, NJ (Park in rear of old building) Use intercom for gate access.
Walk across the street to the New Building Main Entrance. Go left to elevator 3rd Fl. Turn right to Training Room.
(All persons are subject to search at anytime and you should not roam around the building unescorted!)

Saturday one day classes include a pizza lunch.
Since registration is limited, students are encouraged to sign up as early as possible. This course qualifies all students who successfully pass the exam to receive the State of New Jersey Boating Safety Certificate and also satisfies all requirements for the New Jersey State Personal Water Craft PWC regulations.

Upon successfully completing the boating class, a temporary certificate of completion for Motorboat/PWC operations will be awarded.
You must carry your certificate of completion with you when operating a motor vessel on the water's of New Jersey and within 12 miles of the coastline.
